  1. I have Shaindel Beers' and Natalie Trethewey's latest books on my bedside table too!

    I also have Sylvia Plath's "Ariel" out right now, and Craig Raine's "The Onion, Memory" as inspirations for some new work.

    I just finished "Cuckoo's Calling" by (ahem!) David Galbraith - a pretty good read!

    I spotted your key essay earlier this week. So thoughtful and evocative. Bravo!

    And I've had Shaindel's book on radar and now you've nudged me to get to it. I really loved her earlier collection, "A Brief History of Time."
