How to Make a Bouquet Last
I made a bouquet without ribbon
formed only by the weight and pressure of the flowers
and my hands
Naturally it came apart
and this is how I sent it to you
I scattered the flowers so you would not find them
too quickly
Some of the flowers I cast out as ideas
Those won’t come to you for years
Heavy medallions of Queen Anne’s lace
peppery breath of marigolds
May you never find them all
a welcome bouquet :-)
