- Really intriguing article in the New Scientist, "Mindscapes: The woman who gets lost in her own home" on "developmental topographical disorientation."
- An article about a beautiful looking new game, Lumino City (thanks to my pal Clive for the recommendation!).
- On Longing: Narratives of the Miniature, the Gigantic, the Souvenir, the Collection by Susan Stewart.
Happy weekend, friends!
Hannah, your reading lists are always good and, umm, heady.
ReplyDeleteDo you every kick back and read a steamy romance, "People" magazine, or some other fluff? :)
Thanks, Drew! :) Summer, especially, is my time to just completely geek out and do what feels like research---but it is a little intense, I know. There's too much awesome stuff out there!!
DeleteI do have plenty of blogs I read that are a bit less philosophical....but I love requesting obscure and strange books from the library by the stack!
"requesting obscure and strange books... by the stack" - I bet a lot of those librarians are coming along after you to reserve the same books! I love it when a reader leads me to a book I may not have known existed if they hadn't requested it... Then, there's finding the time to read all of those great books...
DeleteI love her essays Susan Stewart. On Longing is a great book!
ReplyDeleteI'm enjoying it so far, Sonia! Thanks for commenting.
