Kit

Kit

A bed in a bag,
kitchen in a box,
breakfast in bed
in a basket.

Experience can
be packaged up,
places bottled.
The pieces

equal the thing,
the first steps
are embedded
with Eureka!

Rose essence
and elderflower
cordial stopped
up in vessels.

Smell like a
garden, like you’ve
been genetically
botanized.

Cookies in a jar,
just add the wet
ingredients.
Stir and heat.

Enjoy. So
wholesome, this
prefabricated
goodness.

Love the irony in this one, and the conflict between wholesome and fabricated. The things we tell ourselves... and the things advertisers tell us! How many packages proclaim "natural" ?? Way to call them out. :)

Delightful... and so full of truth!

You don't even have to add water. No need to wait. No need to put things together. No effort required. And it all feels so sad. Poignant and powerful.

The pieces equal the thing. If only it were true!
