Mouthfuls of moon dust
still taste like dust.
Why scrub the dishes, when
they can soak.

I do love the proverbial feel of these stanzas!
You rock...I had to laugh when I read this. In the movies there is always a certain type used to display jewish wisdom, the wise jewish man always saves the day with unsophisticated common sense lost to us all!!!
So true. I wish I could think of one to add to your list. Here's one. "If I'd known I was going to live this long I would have taken better care of myself."
