This Is the Year

Instead of sending you a card, I'll drive this truck past you and honk.

I saw this truck a couple of weeks ago, while walking home from teaching. I love the colors and textures, and how everything is strapped together.

Happy almost holidays! 2013 is almost here. Honk!

The Answer Is...

It's true--the answer IS trees. I see this little brick circle on my way to class, and I keep imagining what I'd paint inside. Why not this?

I hope your weekend is full of things to be grateful for (and gratitude, of course)! Thank you for reading this week.

Text Art: One Day

I don't mean it in a depressing way....more like this. (Shooby dooby dooby dooby do wah wah.) And who wants a parking garage, anyway? Except to scribble words onto, of course!

Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for reading this week!

Text Art: Spitting Image

A happy weekend to you, full of images and reflection.

I pass this building/water feature on my way home often, and keep envisioning letters floating above it (Thanks to Photoshop for helping with my low-budget installation!). While I was taking the photo for this, the security guard for the building wandered over, asking, "Hi.....so......what are you doing?" I told him, "No need to be alarmed....I just like the way this looks, so I'm taking a picture." He was friendly, but I'm sure a bit confused. I have to confess that it's a little fun to unintentionally weird people out sometimes.
