Deleted Scene
The helicopter mosquitoed by overhead
and the cloud paddled back past it
and this is a deleted scene
It lifts its head above the water
and then resubmerges
Many memories go the way of the ripple
Any recalled thing gets retrieved from this pond
from wet sleep to the heaviness of air
What happens to breath that rests on a car window
What did the corner of the street smell like
All those figurines in the once-passed garage sale
Dopey and Doc and a dragon
were they welcomed back into the house after
sitting on the grass all day
Where is the home for what has left
