Thursday, October 9, 2008: On the Street.....Via Bagutta, Milano

When hair grows in grey or white,
it hasn’t transformed. Not quite
the way I expected: instant, an overnight
quicksilver flood. It began with a slight
shine, a halo at the scalp, and she explained
the pigment just stops, the dark ink restrained.

  1. Before I comment on your lovely poem I have to say that woman is amazing, astonishing and I want to be her when I am grey. Actually, I want her legs, her shoes and her dress right now.

Now, to your poem, I am printing it and putting in my journal. As a gal with premature great it is nice to have poem that explains the halo at my scalp and how the pigment stopped.

  2. The "dark ink restrained."

I wish for this to happen to me.

  3. la belette rouge is so right. what an incredible beauty!!!

    your words, gorgeous.
