Cloak
Cloak
Coat clutched closed in lieu of buttons
gesture of protection
Veil for shoulders and torso
Shape you step into for warmth
Memory of a body to huddle in the closet’s stable
Closet quiet with no lights
Warm mouthful of darkness to be swallowed
