A child's poem that speaks to the child in all adults who are forever seeking a safe place. I read it to my now 21 year old autistic son in the hope that I can forever keep him safe. It ends with: "So I can see where everything I know should be--especially along the floor, the crack of light beneath the door" My eyes are misting up as I read this.Jerry Schwarzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09612151782460772286noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6171487865623213768.post-78649919318616464162012-11-09T12:48:55.128-05:002012-11-09T12:48:55.128-05:00Wild Geese by Mary Oliver

Also see Amanda Auchter's 'The Wishing Tomb' (I'll be posting a review of that this coming Monday). The collection "Love, An Index" is another (the story behind this collection is quite moving), as is Mark Nepo's book of poems following his cancer. Those would be a few starters.Maureenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13290283101378474845noreply@blogger.com
